I was sent some Boots advantage card vouchers in the post today and after being bundled up under the covers watching Netflix all night, I decided to pop out! I instantly regretted it because the shops were so busy but I managed to pick up some goodies.
I went into Superdrug to check out Zoella’s new make up bags, which were nice but I couldn’t justify £10 on a makeup bag today. I tried to get a photo too but Superdrug staff were everywhere, especially at the new range section so I chickened out.
I did however purchase a gorgeous highlighter from Makeup Revolution in Peach Lights. It’s so beautiful and it was only £3! Their quality is always so amazing too so I cannot wait to use it to brighten up my complexion.
I then popped to boots and grabbed a few things. They had a lot of stuff on sale and the store was so busy, I basically tried to grab and run. I am always on the search for the perfect blonde brow product so when I saw the Rimmel Brow This Way styling gel in blonde for only £2.99 I just had to try it. I also picked up some Aussie hair masks, these are only £1.09 each and are so useful for when your hair unexpectedly needs some tlc.
Now for half price sale items! I quickly grabbed this lovely Ted Baker box containing 4 nail varnishes in really versatile colours. There are 2 everyday pink and grey polishes as well as a deep purple and shimmering pink – housed in the prettiest box I have ever seen. This was only £7! I also grabbed these adorable fox hand warmers for only £5. They are perfect for popping in your pockets on chilly mornings.
I also really needed to grab a new facial scrub as I’d run out of Lush’s Ocean Salt. I decided to buy the Soap & Glory Scrub Atomic daily face polish. This contains micropeel beads and also contains peach extract just like the Soap & Glory Peaches & Clean cleanser which I absolutely love. It was also reduced from £9 to £6.75, I cannot wait to see what this does to my skin.
Overall town was absolutely manic today, but it’s always nice to get out and walk around in the fresh air. What did astound me though was the amount of Easter chocolate on sale – it’s only January!!! I am definitely an early buyer as I love to be prepared but even for me it’s a tad bit too early. Let’s prepare for Valentine’s Day first.
Hope you are all having a wonderful new year!
