L’Oreal: Colour Riche Gold Obsession Lipsticks

When browsing the makeup stands in Superdrug, desperately trying to find a new foundation, I came across a 3 for 2 offer on L’Oreal makeup. After picking a foundation, I decided to get some lipstick to take advantage of the offer and the beautiful gold and black ombré packaging of these lipsticks caught my eye.

Say hello to the brand new Colour Riche Gold Obsession Lipsticks. As we’re getting into the Autumn season I decided to pick up the shade Plum Gold as well as Nude Gold, as I feel you can never go wrong with a nude lip.

This is definitely a classic case of purchasing a product based on the packaging. The pretty ombré tube and the gold inside makes this lipstick look a lot more expensive than it actually is.

Just look at the gorgeous shimmer in Nude Gold!

I was disappointed that my Plum Gold lipstick was slightly damaged. Nevertheless, it’s still a gorgeous rich colour with a hint of shimmer. I can definitely see this as one of the most sort after berry shades of the season.

When I swatched both lipsticks I was really happy to see just how pigmented they are. The gorgeous, rich colour was achieved with only one swipe of the lipstick! The consistency is really glossy with high shine, magnified with the tiny shimmer particles distributed throughout the lipstick. They are absolutely stunning!

For £6.99 these lipsticks are incredible. They are highly pigmented and look so gorgeous with a little blush and highlight. After being so used to wearing matte lipsticks the past few months, the only downside is you do need to reapply these each time you have a drink. However the texture is also quite moisturising which will give my lips a well deserved break, especially as the weather becomes cooler. Dry lips and matte lipsticks just don’t go hand in hand!

Overall I’m so impressed with these lipsticks and now I want the rest of the collection. Unfortunately they don’t seem to be online anywhere?! I have only seen these on L’Oreal’s Instagram where they have been recently promoting them in Italy. Perhaps my local Superdrug was a little naughty and put them out early?

If you’ve found these lipsticks yourself or think you might just need them this Autumn, let me know in the comments below!
