It’s September and the weather is starting to change. Many of my friends and family are upset about this but I’m internally screaming as Autumn and Winter are my favourite seasons. It’s not quite fully fledged Autumn yet but I found this tag over at MakeupSavvy and I could not help myself!
1. Ok we’re talking coffee’s – what’s your favourite seasonal drink from Starbucks/Costa/Cafe Nero etc?
Ok, so an obvious choice is the beloved Pumpkin Spiced Latte from Starbucks. I really love pumpkin, I like using it in cooking and I certainly love it in my coffee. When these drinks are on sale, I know Autumn is coming and I get so excited. I’ve already had a couple this year! I also really love to drink a Chai Latte from Costa. They’re actually a lot nicer than the Starbucks version, they have a spicier taste. On a cool morning this certainly gives me the kick I need.
2. Accessories – what do you opt for, scarf, boots, gloves?
I always go out in a scarf and I have a couple of favourites to choose from. On a particularly chilly day I have a giant scarf which is more like a blanket. It’s big, thick and cosy and always keeps me warm. I also have a few smaller scarfs and a skinny Ted Baker woollen one which looks very chic. Found it in a charity shop too! I also cannot go out without a pair of boots on. I particularly love wearing military style boots but also love a good Chelsea boot. I have some really nice heeled ones from last season which dresses up skinny jeans and a giant scarf perfectly!
3. Music – what’s your favourite music to listen to during Autumn?
I wouldn’t say I listen to anything different other than The Nightmare Before Christmas Soundtrack. I’ve been known to listen to it in the middle of summer though!
4. Perfume – what’s your favourite scent for this time of year?
I tend to ditch the florals in the summer, bye Chanel Eau Tendre I’ll dig you out next year. Instead I love to wear Versace Woman, I’ve worn it every Autumn for the past 4 years so the scent brings back a lot of memories. I also really like food scents and have been enjoying the Zoella Sweet Inspirations Body Mist. I’ve almost used up my first bottle, it’s a serious love!
5. Candles – what scents will you be burning this season?
I am all about candles! I still have a Bath & Bodyworks Pumpkin Cupcake candle from last year to finish, you bet I’ll be burning it nonstop soon. I also love any food scents which remind me of baking. It always makes me feel warm and cosy! So the Village Candle Brownie Delight and Caramel Swirl will definitely have some love this season.
6. What do you love most about Autumn?
Cool days, crunchy leaves, the colours of the trees, buying cosy jumpers and knitted tights, baking treats in the evening, burning candles, bonfire night, fireworks, coming home to a hot chilli in the slow cooker, hot chocolates, red lips, cold noses, Sunday morning cuddles in bed watching the rain and wind outside, festive items popping up in shops, scarves, blankets, cosy socks and pyjamas, Great British Bake Off, long hot baths, bath bombs, Lush’s Halloween and Christmas range, new hand creams, buying lip balms after you’ve lost the one you bought last week, big coats, winter bags, boots and layers.
7. Favourite makeup look?
You cannot go wrong with a simple smoky eye with a berry lip and a little blush.
8. What are you looking forward to most in Autumn?
This Autumn is an exciting one for me as I get to move into a flat with my boyfriend. I’m going to cosy the place up, have candles burning and prepare for our very first Christmas living together. I cannot wait to cook warm and hearty meals, have lazy mornings on our days off together all snuggled up watching TV, write blog posts together at either end of the sofa and in general just live with him. The mornings will be dark and cold, but we’ll be cosy together and I cannot wait.
This tag is open to absolutely everyone, yes you reading this right now! Go on, get excited for Autumn with me and post your Autumn tag. Make sure you send me a link so I can have a good read!
