If you’re a fan of liquid lipsticks you will know too well that if you have chapped and dry lips, it does not look good. You need a smooth base for application and with the colder weather approaching, your lips may need a little tlc. But have no fear, the Nügg Beauty Intense Lip Boosting Mask is here to help!
I was very kindly sent a little package from Nügg Beauty which contained this lip mask. The packaging immediately stood out as it’s perfectly gold and shiny, adorned with ‘Nügg’ on the top. It’s absolutely beautiful and looks lovely on any bedside table or makeup station!
Looks can be deceiving so let’s talk about the mask formula itself. It claims to nourish and hydrate the lips, resulting in a plumper, fresher, more kissable minty finish. I apply a generous amount of the mask to clean, makeup free lips and leave it on for about 20 minutes to dry. It contains Shea Butter and Coconut Oil to condition delicate skin and my lips feel so soft once I wipe the mask away. However the mask also produces a plumping effect which was completely unexpected! This is caused by a key ingredient: Liquorice Root Complex which causes your lips to look fuller. Not only that, it also diminishes the appearance of fine lines which is perfect for applying liquid lipstick. This will help reduce a ‘cracking’ appearance throughout the day.
After using this mask, my makeup looks amazing. My lips look full and soft, liquid lipstick applies like a dream. The mask is also vegan and contains natural ingredients. Which means it doesn’t contain parabens or synthetic dyes. However due to it’s minty scent the mask does also tingle slightly which might be a negative for people with very sensitive skin. However it did not cause any irritation on my lips.
I cannot recommend this mask enough, it does exactly what it claims to and makes my lips so soft. A definite staple to anyone’s skincare routine! If you want to get your hands on one, you can at Beauty Bay for £9.49. I would say you can get around 10 uses for it, which might seem on the pricey side but it does work so well. I tend to use mine once a week as well as my standard lip care routine and this keeps my lips really soft. For that reason I would definitely repurchase but I would love a larger sizes option as this would last longer.
Have you tried this lip mask or do you need something to help your lips in the cold? I’d love to know your thoughts in the comments below.
