If you name a product Rose Gold, my slight obsession with the colour instantly makes me buy it. Makeup Revolution’s Rose Gold Lights Highlight was no exception! However it wasn’t just the name that drew me to this product. The vibrant baked pink powder adorned with golden shimmer just makes it so beautiful. It took me a good while to use it because it’s just so pretty.
A highlight is a product which you use to brighten the high points of your face as well as to create a gorgeous glow. As I’m very pale skinned, this product just does not work as a highlight for me. However if you’re a darker skinned beauty, this is going to look absolutely fabulous on you! If you’re pale like me don’t dismay as this product can be used in a variety of ways. The main way I use Rose Gold Lights is as a blush. It gives a beautiful rose glow and I’ve had so many compliments when I use it. I like to use my Makeup Revolution F103 Stippling Brush to apply this to my cheeks as it collects just enough product without making you look like a clown. Be warned, a little goes a very long way with this product!
As you can see from the swatch, the colour is so pigmented with a golden sheen. This was created using only 2 applications and it’s very buildable. I also like to use it in the inner corners of my eyes when creating an Autumnal, warm look. It’s far more shimmery than any eyeshadow I own and looks absolutely stunning.
For only £3, this cruelty free highlight is a must have for any makeup collection. You can build it up for a really deep blush, or use a light hand for a slight rose glow. Whether you’re a makeup expert or novice, the pigmentation means it will work for you, not against you as colour pay off is effortless. It’s easy, affordable, good quality an absolute winner in my eyes! It’s quickly become a makeup must have whether as my sole blush or lightly applied on top of another to create a heavenly glow.
Have you tried this highlight or any of the other Makeup Revolution highlights? I’d love to know your thoughts in the comments below!
