Autumn Colourpop Haul 2016

Since Colourpop decided to offer international shipping, I’ve desperately tried to avoid their website to protect both my bank account and sanity. You see, I’d never actually ordered from abroad before as just the thought of the distance your parcel travels combined with potential custom fees had always stressed me out. After seeing their new Fall collection, I could resist no longer and decided to just go with it and see what happens.

All together my order came to $72 which included a $25 shipping fee and a $5 money off coupon. I was charged £59.77 by Colourpop and it was despatched a few days after I placed my order. I was really surprised when 5 days later, I received a notification from Royal Mail to say my parcel had arrived – that was much quicker than expected! I fully expected to have to pay customs fees, an unfortunate consequence of buying from outside the EU which cannot be helped, this came to an extra £16.02. This included the £8 handling fee from the Post Office, which I actually wasn’t annoyed about. Overall this came to £75.79, and if you divide this by the number of items I ordered it works out at £7.58 per item. Not bad at all!

Since I placed this order, typically Colourpop is now offering FREE international delivery to all orders over $50. Which I’m equally annoyed and excited about, as I feel I can now justify another order yet if I’d waited I’d have saved myself $25. Oh well!

It arrived in a Colourpop box which was filled with plenty of packing packaging – so nothing was broken. It even included a little card, which as a massive cheese lover I really appreciated!

My love for lipstick is continuously growing so I obviously had to try a few lipsticks. I grabbed 1 Ultra Metallic Lip, 3 Ultra Matte Lips and 2 Lippie Stix.

I cannot resist rose gold and I really love the metallic lip trend, so popping Man Eater into the basket was a very easy decision. I think this will look gorgeous for parties and will add a beautiful twist to a festive lip. It was also only $6!

I decided to get 3 Ultra Matte Lips and have heard that some shades are excellent dupes for Kylie Lip Kits. So after a little research I decided to buy Limbo, Clueless and Beeper and these were also $6 each.

I love the formula of their Lippie Stix, they’re great for when your lips need a break from a liquid formula. I decided to buy Tootsi as I love grey toned nudes and since the parcel arrived, I have been wearing this a lot! It has a wonderful matte finish and it’s very pigmented. As a massive Kathleen Lights fan, I also had to grab Aquarius to go with the rest of her collection.

When I saw the Zingara eye shadow set I completely fell in love. For $18 you receive 4 beautiful Autumnal shades which are worth $5 each. It also comes in the most beautiful box to keep them together. In the set you get the shades:

  • Paradox: A cool-toned burgundy red in a Satin finish
  • Elixir: A mid-tone true terracotta in a Matte finish
  • Seeker: A warm reddish brown in a Matte finish
  • Jinxie: A soft gold in a Pearlized finish

Overall I am so in love with this haul, from the packaging to the beautiful shades. It arrived super quickly and it wasn’t nearly as stressful as I expected. In fact the whole process was super easy and I am most definitely going to be taking advantage of free international shipping soon!

Have you seen Colourpop’s new Fall range? I’d love to know your thoughts in the comments below!

I smell like a standard, makeup lipstick smell that hasn’t been scented. It doesn’t really bother me and I don’t notice it once it’s on my lips, but there is definitely a slight chemical scent!
I’ve not tried the ultra satin lips, will have to order some next time!
