Tanya Burr: Christmas Palettes

I’ll admit, I’ve never tried any Tanya Burr products until now. I just wasn’t that into the whole look of her products, I would always go and take a look in Superdrug but then walk away empty-handed. It’s something that I can’t really explain, if I’m not feeling a product then I won’t purchase it. However that changed when I came across her Christmas collection.

I decided to purchase both of the Christmas Palettes as they are oh so pretty and I just could not leave without them. Though they are made out of cardboard, they have more of a Benefit feel to them and feel a lot sturdier than her previous eyeshadow palettes. They are also decorated beautifully with glitter; they look utterly gorgeous and should be displayed with the rest of your favourite makeup products.

The first palette I was drawn to was the Baby It’s Cold Outside Lip Gloss, Blush & Highlight Set which was reduced from £11 to £10. This palette is a beautiful baby blue adorned with 3 shimmering snowflakes on the top with the Tanya Burr logo and palette name in the lower left corner. When you open up the palette, it contains a mirror decorated with snowflakes which makes me feel so festive! It contains a really pretty rose coloured blush and a shimmering light highlight to create that must have Winter glow with rosy cheeks. The blush also has a really subtle shimmer so you can definitely get away with not wearing highlight if you want a softer, more natural glow. It also contains a Lipgloss in shade Afternoon Tea which is a pretty pink with golden shimmer. The shimmer is subtle, not chunky but the gloss is slightly on the sticky side. I would definitely reccommend wearing it with your hair up on a windy day! I think this palette is so easy to travel with and has everything you need for subtle Winter makeup for your face. I’ve really taken to using the highlight on my eyelids for a one palette makeup-look; it’s just so easy and looks lovely.

The other palette I was drawn to was the Beautifully Defined Palette which definitely has such a major wow factor. This was also £10 reduced from £11 and the packaging is absolutely stunning. Designed like a present, the golden box is covered in light pink and white shimmer which is also arranged into a bow on the centre. ‘Tanya Burr’ is written across the top like a ribbon and it even has a little tag attached to write a festive message. It’s that gorgeous, you don’t even have to wrap it! Inside is a heart shaped mirror and the most beautiful bronzey, shimmery makeup products ever. There are 3 shadows in Silk Pyjamas, Cuddle Me and Baking Brownies. Each shade is a lovely nude with Silk Pyjamas a shimmering taupe, Cuddle Me a shimmering bronze shade and Baking Brownies a matte chocolate brown. There is also a golden highlight in Champagne Shimmer and a shimmer bronzer in Caramel Kiss; which would also be an excellent highlight on deeper skin tones. Last but not least is the liquid golden highlight in Beaming which can be used underneath, ontop or mixed with foundation to create a flawless glow.

Overall I’m so impressed with these palettes from the Tanya Burr Christmas Collection and I am so glad I took the plunge and tried them. The quality is so lovely, the formulas of the products are so soft and spot on; I am just so happy with them! If you love Tanya Burr or just good quality festive makeup, you definitely need to try these and they’ll also make an excellent Christmas present.

Have you tried these palettes or any other Tanya Burr products? I’d love to know your thoughts in the comments below!

This post is great. I have never tried any of Tanya’s products actually. I guess it was the same for me, they just didn’t attract or interest me into buying them. However, the Christmas collection does look stunning so I might go out and buy a few of her pieces. The ‘Champagne Shimmer’ looks so beautiful, definitely something I would use!
